Acceptable Use Policy
1. Purpose
This policy keeps the service usable and lawful for everyone. It applies to every request made to this website, whether through the interface or the API. Breaching it may result in your requests being blocked.
2. Acceptable use
- Downloading content you created.
- Downloading content you have permission from the rights holder to save.
- Downloading content under a licence that permits your use, or under an exception that applies to you.
- Occasional, manual, personal use of the interface within the published limits.
3. Prohibited use
3.1 Unlawful or infringing use
- Downloading material you have no right to copy, or using downloads to infringe copyright or other rights.
- Downloading or distributing unlawful content, including content that sexualises minors, promotes violence, or violates another person's privacy.
3.2 Unauthorised private content
- Attempting to obtain private, friends-only, members-only, paid, or age-restricted content.
- Submitting another person's credentials, session cookies, or authentication tokens.
- Attempting to access content that is not publicly available without authentication.
3.3 Circumvention
- Attempting to bypass DRM, paywalls, geo-restrictions, login gates, or any other access control.
- Attempting to bypass the service's own limits: rate limits, size limits, timeouts, or the host allowlist.
3.4 Abuse of the service
- Automated or scripted bulk extraction; mass downloading; scraping accounts, profiles, or catalogues.
- Flooding the service with requests, or opening many concurrent jobs to exhaust capacity.
- Reselling access, or hiding the service behind another product without written permission.
- Using the service to build a mirror, archive, or redistribution platform.
3.5 Attacks and interference
- Probing, scanning, or testing the service for vulnerabilities without prior written permission.
- Attempting server-side request forgery, command injection, path traversal, or any other attack.
- Uploading or requesting content intended to disrupt, overload, or damage the service or its host.
- Interfering with other users' access, or attempting to read another user's download.
4. Technical limits
The operator configures these limits; the current values are shown in the interface and in error messages.
- a maximum file size per download;
- a maximum duration per job;
- a maximum number of concurrent jobs per client and overall;
- rate limits on metadata lookups and download requests;
- an allowlist of supported hostnames;
- automatic deletion of temporary files after the retention period.
Attempting to work around these limits — for example by rotating addresses, spoofing headers, or distributing requests — is itself a breach of this policy.
5. Enforcement
Depending on severity, we may:
- return an error instead of processing a request;
- apply stricter rate limits to a client or network;
- block an IP address, network, or user agent;
- block a source domain following a valid rights-holder notice;
- delete temporary files associated with abusive jobs;
- report unlawful activity to the appropriate authorities where required by law.
Because there are no accounts, enforcement is technical. Decisions may be reviewed on request.
6. Reporting abuse
Report abuse, attacks, or content-related complaints to copyright@www.vgrab.cc with the subject line
Abuse report. Include what you observed, when, and any relevant request identifiers. Copyright
complaints should follow the Copyright Policy instead.
7. Changes
This policy may be updated; the "Last updated" date will change. Continued use means you accept the update.
8. Contact
This service is operated by a private individual. Abuse reports and any other correspondence go to copyright@www.vgrab.cc.
